The Difference Between Rich/Poor People

One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live.
They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.
On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, "How was the trip?"
"It was great, Dad."
"Did you see how poor people live?" the father asked.
"Oh yeah," said the son.
"So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?" asked the father.
The son answered:
"I saw that we have one dog and they had four.
We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end.
We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night.
Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon.
We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight.
We have servants who serve us, but they serve others.
We buy our food, but they grow theirs.
We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them."
The boy's father was speechless.
Then his son added, "Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are."
Isn't perspective a wonderful thing?
Makes you wonder what would happen if we all gave thanks for everything we have, instead of worrying about what we don't have.

What got you interested in gardening, particularly roses?
Yes,..... Sam I am........... I am getting the Blue Hydrangeas this year because there are no blue roses.
I like Blue like You but I am not blue like you. He He .
>>I bought a house that was owned by people for 50 years, and they had a few antique roses but they were on deaths door, (the roses were), and only 5 inches high and had only a few pink blooms . A drunk gambler guy had it and lost it for 3 years , and then I bought the house from a bank clearance.. So... I bought two more rose bushes , as well as the antique ones I had with the house. They Are sort of Red Sort of Orange Sort of pink all together. And so I got more and more. ( All Colors) . Different kinds. There is a winding brick path leading to an arbor and a bench. It is an escape just like music or beer or Skating. And they smell SO SO good. Especially The Zephirine Drouhin Climbing Rose. Also, does the flowering crab tree in may when the blossoms come out and I come home from work and there is a sweet scent wafting through the air.

MORNING RADIO SHOW HUMORHere is a radio talk show where they have Little Rebecca call to have her school demolished.

I have a blossom crab tree just like this and it smells so good every other May. sooo sweet! And I love when the Cedar waxwings come to visit!
